O2 Fitness Membership Cost (Updated 2022)

O2 Fitness Membership Cost

O2 Fitness is a chain of gyms located in North and South Carolina. Founded in 2003 by Michael Olander, the chain has since grown to 16 clubs with more on the way. They pride themselves on having a professional exercise environment with quality workout equipment.

An O2 Fitness membership costs $59 per month with a $25 enrollment fee when you sign up for your plan. You can also bundle memberships at a lower cost, and you’ll spend $108 per month for 4 members. The additional Kids Club membership costs another $10 per month on top of your existing plan.

If you want to learn more about the ins and out of membership at O2 Fitness, keep reading. We will dive into the monthly costs, fees, benefits, and classes offered by O2 Fitness. So, let’s jump in!

O2 Fitness Club Membership Cost

O2 Fitness is unique in how they price their membership. Unlike other gyms, you can receive a discount for how many members are under the same membership. Bear in mind that these prices can vary by location and will include a one-time enrollment fee unless you signup during a promotional period where the fee is reduced or waived.

Price can also vary by agreement type. A month-to-month membership can cost more than signing up for a one-year agreement. The signup fees can also change based on the contract type.

The basic single gym memberships start at $59 per month, and increase based on if the gym is a premier location or not.

You can also find deals periodically on Groupon for discounts on sign-up fees and deals on paying in full. This pricing scheme is excellent for larger families who all have gym memberships and want to save money by grouping accounts together. Yes, this is similar to a family phone plan!

O2 Fitness Membership Benefits

O2 Fitness offers a wide variety of great benefits no matter what your fitness level is.

1. Personal Training

O2 has personalized training sessions available to its members. They have trainers trained in many different specializations available to help with your goals.  When you sign up for an O2 membership, you will receive two free sessions with a personal trainer to get you started.

2. O2 Fitness Kids Club

O2 offers a childcare service for those who need a babysitter while working out. It will set you back $10 per month, but you will receive up to two hours of supervision for your child. Children under the age of one can get up to one hour.

3. O2 Rewards

For some additional motivation to hit the gym, O2 offers Fitness Rewards. You will earn points for activities like going to the gym, referring new members, and using personal training services. The program also discounts hotels, movies, and theme park admission.

4. GO2 Fitness

The monthly membership fee includes access to O2 Fitness’ online classes. It includes live streams, group classes, and on-demand classes for those times you can make the drive to the gym.

Does O2 Fitness Offer a Free Trial?

Currently, O2 Fitness has a 21-Day free trial. The best part is that you don’t need to supply any credit card information, and there is no commitment to join once the trial period has expired.

You will need to provide your name, address, email, and phone number to take advantage of the free trial. You may also need to sign a waiver to use the free trial.

Are There Any Additional Costs?

There are several things that you can choose to pay for. Personal training sessions are free for the first two, but they will be billed per hour after that. This will vary by location and trainer.

The gym also sells branded merchandise and beverages for convenience. Also, the childcare service will incur additional cost per month to your bill. There will be an additional fee if you choose to enroll in one-on-one training sessions via GO2.  Some locations also offer small group training and boot camps for an additional charge.

Don’t forget about the annual fee taken on the 15th of the month in which you first enrolled.

To recap, additional costs may include:

  • Personal training sessions
  • One-on-one training sessions via GO2
  • Branded merchandise
  • Beverages
  • Childcare service
  • $49 annual fee

Can I Bring a Guest for Free?

Unlike many other gyms, O2 Fitness only offers free guest services once every three months. They encourage you to have your guests sign up for the free trial to entice them to sign up for their memberships.

The best way to bring a guest with you is to add them to your membership which is less expensive than signing up individually. The club will be able to add on the additional member and let you know how much it will cost.
