Phillips Crab Cakes Pricing Review

A 6-pack of these Phillips Maryland Style Crab Cakes at Costco costs $29.89. It was on sale when we visited the warehouse, clocking in at $23.89, which is an excellent deal.

If you’ve ever ordered a crab cake while dining out, you have surely run into prices such as $18 for one large or two small crab cakes.

These crab cakes can feed a group of 6 for brunch, a family of 3 for dinner, or enjoyed by 1-person multiple times. This makes these crab cakes a great deal.

Where Else Can I Find These Crab Cakes?

If you do not have a Costco near you and are unable to get a delivery, or if you do not have a Costco membership, you can find these Maryland Style Crab Cakes by Phillips elsewhere. Please note that the package will not be as big as Costco, as Costco products are often sold in bulk.

Please also remember that product availability varies per Costco warehouse location. Not all Costco warehouses will carry this product.

Target

Target sells these crab cakes by Phillips in a 6 oz. package which includes 2 crab cakes for $7.99.

Target also sells the same crab cakes by Phillips in a mini version, perfect for appetizers. The package includes 8 mini crab cakes, and costs $7.99.

How Do These Crab Cakes Compare to Others?

DockSide Classics

You can find a package of Dockside Classics Crab Cakes at Walmart for $6.64. Each package contains 4 crab cakes. While the price point is much cheaper than Phillips, there is a good reason.

These crab cakes contain crab meat as the first ingredient, but the second ingredient is surimi fish. The ingredients list is also much longer. In short, these crab cakes contain a bunch of fillers.

SeaPak Maryland Style Crab Cakes

We found these SeaPak Maryland Style Crab Cakes at ACME. It is priced $11.49 per an 8 oz package.

The first ingredient is blue swimming crab, and the second ingredient is breadcrumbs. Additionally, the number of ingredients is alarming, and contains a whole lot of soybean oil and additives. The quality for us is just not there.
