About Us

At Choosing Nutrition, our Registered Dieticians, Nutritionists, Chefs, and Coaches will help you make smarter nutrition choices. We help you determine whether certain foods fit your lifestyle and preference.

We believe that when it comes to healthy eating, it means more than just having the right balance of nutrients. Instead of imposing strict rules or diet plans, our writers focus on educating and offering gentle nutrition advice. We understand that changes, no matter how small, take time.

Since our inception, we do this one thing really well – we write tons of information about anything nutrition. Anything from Are Chia Seeds Gluten Free? to Is Ricotta Keto? and even topics like Vegan Popcorn Brands. Additionally, we provide healthier alternatives to many popular brands you likely grew up eating.

About Me, The Founder

Hello! My name is Pam. My nutrition journey began 10 years ago. Throughout college, I worked in the restaurant industry. Being exposed to different cuisines, I always enjoyed trying new foods. However, they were not always the most nutritious. With time and research, I began to learn more about how certain foods impact my well-being. Instead of focusing on one specific diet, I decided to live a healthy lifestyle. I eat whole, fresh foods at least 80% of the time, while aiming to eliminate processed foods, refined sugar, and simple carbohydrates. However, I am all for an occasional indulgence!

I love eating whole foods but most importantly, I love sharing my passion, experiences, and knowledge with others – there’s a reason I chose to start a nutrition blog! I enjoy trying new recipes, new items at grocery stores (yes, I’m talking Primal Kitchen and Hu at Costco!), and new restaurants. While I’m not a professional chef, I love spending time in the kitchen and preparing simple but nourishing recipes.

Anyhow, one day I spoke to my brother who’s been quite successful with creating online brands. He convinced me that my passion has a place online and that millions of Americans are searching for nutrition advice every single day. As an enthusiast, I spent hundreds of hours researching different foods and wanted to bring my knowledge to the world.

And so the idea of ChoosingNutrition.com came to mind. We thought – wouldn’t it be great to create one of the most comprehensive nutrition resources online?

That’s what we set out to do, and in a matter of just a few short months, we partnered up with 30+ industry experts and licensed professionals. We aim to provide the most accurate, up-to-date information we can possibly find.
